Gifts of the Holy Spirit

According to 'The Bible' the Spritual Gifts (Charismata) gifts that are supernatuarally bestowed on Christians to edify and strengthen the Church.These are mentioned in the New Testament of 'The Bible' primarly in 1 Corinthians 12:1-14, 12:27-30, Romans 12:6-8, Ephesians 4:11. Emphasis on teaching about the nine gifts of the Spirit originated from Howard Carter, an early Pentecostal evangelist. There are various opinions as to the number of spiritual gifts

Jesus predicted the occurrence of false gifts, particularly in the end time (Matthew 24:24, 7:22,23). Hence while spiritual gifts are very important for a Christian the fruit of the spirit is a better test of the genuineness of a person.

7 Teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ!

I have understood from the Bible that the Church of God is founded on 7 basic teachings. These teachings were propoganded by the apostles of Jesus Christ

1. Repentance ( Mark1: 4 Luke 3:3)
2. Baptism (Mathews 28: 18 & 19)
3. Gift of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9,10,11 1 Corinthians 12:13)
4. Teachingsof the Apostles ( Mathew 28:20 1 Corinthians 15:1,2,3,4)
5. Fellowship of Believers
6. Lords Table ( 1 Corinthians 11: 23 -32)
7. Prayer

These are the basic fundamentals required for a christian church, if any body violats these fundamental teachings it does not come under the perview of God's church.
